Description

My Razer Gaming Machine. Been wanting to do a new build for awhile and being a fan of the Razer logo, I went with the Razer NZXT branded case and built around that. Not a Razer fan boy for the record. I only have a couple items actually from them, but the gear was easy to use for the color palette I was shooting for.

Please hit the vote arrows if you like the build!!!

Video Show casing the PC- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZWXjBgoQRY

Really hated the crappy smoked plastic window that comes with the case. Its really cheap and It scratches easily, plus you cant see anything on the inside. I replaced mine with glass and what a huge difference. It doesn't draw static electricity like the plastic and doesn't collect all that dust. Great for a better view.

I ran some side facing led strips that I ordered from a UK shop, to run around under the motherboard and it worked out well. You get a nice glow , shaping the components without the washed out color that everything gets with leds shining straight on the parts. Added UV reactive sleeved cables from the Icelandic company, ICEMODZ and UV green liquid and the inside pops out pretty well.

Hey thanks. The purple was a side effect of the uv and actually in person isn't as bad but the camera really picked that color. Overall though, I don't mind it.

This is the stock liquid. I spoke with the company before buying and the green was the only color with the UV properties. I have all the specs for liquids required for this AIO cooler for anyone that wants to get something new. The direct links from RAIJINTEK

Really nice build! How do you like the HyperX Cloud II? That is the headset I'm currently looking at. I'd like it to be open, but I saw this had good reviews especially for the price. Also, is that the stock color of the CPU cooler (does the LED make the color or is the liquid green) with it glowing more because of the UV LEDs?

  • 1 point
  1. Love the Hyper X...best headphones Ive had so far. Thats from someone who cant really deal with headphones being on for long and I can wear these all day.
  2. That is the stock color of the CPU cooler and liquid. Liquid is green with UV properties if you have UV lights. And the the leds are green.
  • 2 points

Also in regards to the liquid cooler. I read a review where the liquid was clear and it came with red, blue and green dye. Did yours come like that our already dyed green? I see newegg sells them as a specific color but didn't know if they really are all the same or not.

  • 1 point

Yea I think sending the dye separate was the old way of shipping it. It comes with it pre-installed now. As far the unit itself goes, all the same . They just changed the type of liquid now and it's pre colored

  • 2 points

I have the version where you have to dye it yourself. Do you know if the dye they send is the same green that you have pre-filled? I'm guessing it should be but just in case you know for sure that would be helpful. Love your build by the way, it certainly inspired and influenced my copycat build but in an S340. Love those braided cables too. I'm going to pop over to icemodz to do a but of shopping me thinks :-)

The dye came pre filled for me. Within a couple.months you gave to put more in there anyways as it evaporates eventually

Great build! I was thinking of adding uv light to mine to. May I ask, how did you change the case's window? Could you maybe upload a picture from the inside? Thanks

  • 1 point

The case window was a cheap plastic held to the inside of the door with metal tabs. I simply pulled the tabs up with small pliers, pulled the plastic window out and then removed the tabs by bending them back and forth till they snapped off. I measured the window and then picked up glass that was about an inch bigger on all sides from Lowes. I used double sided gorilla tape to make it stay. Just watch the glass edges when you do this. I cut the myself pretty good smoothing the tape out around the edges.

Thanks for the quick response! Again, awesome job.

Great looking build - was looking at replicating something similar to yours - but with a different fan configuration. Originally was going to go with a black/blue h440 but saw your UV razer build and decided to switch, in the process of massing parts for mine.

Quick question - I was also looking at ICEMODZ back when I was going with the UV blue build for mine - what length UV LEDs did you order from them? I'm trying to visualize how long and where I'm going to install....

  • 1 point

I believe I went with 11 or 12 inch and placed one up top and one below in front of the psu shroud . You probably could line one in the hard drive bays also. I have all my hdd rails removed for better airflow and accessibility.

  • 1 point

Yeah I was planning on doing so - removing the HDD rails for airflow as well. I was thinking one up top and one below as well as you stated, but was wondering if you had a long 2m cable and just went all the way around - guess not :-)

Thanks for getting back to me!

  • 2 points

Btw, could you possible give me any tips since I'm planning on building a PC (first time) with the Intel 4590, MSI gtx 960 2gb OC, and an ASrock H97 Anniversary mobo, 8gb DRR3 ram. Are these ok? If not is there anything you would recommend for around 600-700 dollars?

Is there room there for a 2nd 980 in sli and how would you configure it.

where did you get the leds from?

ugh.. could have used ur money better and that sleeve separator get rid of it. makes the build look ugly get rid of the uv light get real green coolant liquid and fix ur 8pin cpu connector. people rate this +1 for what, cause you wish its what you had?? tbh it looks fine not amazing

  • 1 point

What exact paint did you use for the corsair fans you put in for the water cooler? Awesome Green!

  • 2 points

The paint is called Blaze Green Plastidip. Comes in a spray can from any hardware store. Its also UV reactive

  • 1 point

Really apriciate that man, thanks! Your build is so sick!!!!!!!!

  • 1 point

How did you change the side mirror on the case??

  • 1 point

I'm assuming you mean the window? I removed it, removed the tabs that hold the plastic window and replaced with glass that measured one inch larger on both sides to have room to use Gorilla tape to mount it.

  • 1 point

SO the liquid itself is sorta glowing from the blackligh t?

Yes the green liquid is UV reactive

Thank you! I'm looking to replicate this 100% If you could be so kind as to answer.

Pick the colors and sizes there. I have two UV strips, both 30 cm I believe.

You can specify in the order what colors and how you want them laid out.

Really love the build I'm trying to decide between this case and the 750d, could I fit a corsair h110i gt with a push pull config on the top? Also what are your idle temps for your gpu, and cpu?

  • 0 points

There should be plenty of room for a push pull config. The cooler on the Corsair is smaller than mine so you should be fine.

As far as the temps go, I idle at 25-30 I believe. Its been awhile since I checked.

Wow that is amazing, I am going to build mine in the same case actually so I got some questions as it is my first build, is the case quality good? And did is the liquid cooling as good as a Corsair H100i? And of course how the installment and cable management was. I really appreciate any help I can get and I understand if you don't want to answer any questions! Again really cool build :)

  • 0 points

The case quality is great. I had no issues at all with the cable management. As far as the cooling goes, the Rajintek system has been flawless and keeps the cpu as cool as the Corsair. I went with that cooling solution as it comes in green and that green is also UV reactive. Please feel free to look through my comments as I have some answered questions regarding the cables and other things. Any way I can help just let me know!

where did you place your UV Greenlights if you have led strips sticked behind the mobo? i left a comment on your Youtube. :)

  • 2 points

I placed them between the motherboard back and on the case. Right on the inside edge of the motherboard. There is a small space because the mob is on standoffs. All 4 sides. If the led strips are quality ,they have a good coat of soft plastic on top of the lights and won't damage the mobo

I refuse to use the use the headphones also. But I love green and I love the Razer logo since forever ago so thus I built this Pc.
