Description

Just finished this build that I'm currently typing this on. Overall the build went pretty well, had a couple issues getting the CPU cooler mounted but aside from that was an overall enjoyable process.

My general usage for this PC is to be CAPABLE of playing many of the new games, but I am by no means an extraordinary game enthusiast. I've only just begun browsing through the pages of steam.

Overall I'm very happy so far with this build and we'll see how it works out in months to come.

Part Reviews

CPU

Overall so far very pleased with the CPU - quick and responsive perfect for what I need. Nothing seems to phase this CPU and for the value of it right now at around 130$ you can't beat it with it's overclock ability.

CPU Cooler

Instructions were a little difficult to follow at first but with some Youtube, and Google help I had it figured out in no time.

Motherboard

Great, good looking MOBO. Bought online from Vuugo and was very pleased with the results. Time will tell it's overall quality but I'm pleased with it.

Memory

Good looking, fair priced ram. Would love to upgrade to 16GB sometime but really don't need it right now. The 8GB gives me time to expand.

Storage

Super fast as to be expected with a SSD. Computer boots Windows within 10 seconds.

Storage

Chose this for budget reasons + needed somewhere to store music etc for the PC. Was a good choice and have no complaints.

Case

Only issue I ran into was mounting the SSD. It did have the adapter in one of the bays but it was laid out backwards so the SSD was difficult to get plugged in. Wasn't overall a big issue.

Power Supply

Little too early to review the PSU but so far so good, and being modular helped route some of the cables easily.

Wireless Network Adapter

Super fast - no connectability problems. Good range, full bars!

Great build! But one question: Did you have to update the BIOS to use the 6300?

No I didn't, worked fine right off the bat.
