Description

Hi everybody,

I'm using this PC as home machine, as a professional sound engineer to make sound designs, audio editing and occassional gaming. I plan to use this machine to play in the future, improving Video Card and Monitor, but now i'm done with ps4.

I found good prices with Black Friday deals in Spain.

8700 instead of 8700K? Yes, I don't need K, just a good response when audio editing whith core eating plug-ins.

The Video Card I installed is not listed on Pcpartpicker, is the KFA2 Geforce GTX 1050Ti 4GB OC LP. I don't need more, just playing PUBG and CSGO.

The water cooler is far of what I need, I know, but it looks amazing.

I'ts the first time I build a computer, and not the last! ;)

Part Reviews

CPU

A beast. Enough and awesome for non-fanatic with big purposes.

CPU Cooler

Keeps cool my processor (i7 8700). Never go further than 58º. Cons: Center radiator screws go in metal sheets and damage them. Too much noise, had to replace them with Noctua NF-A14

Motherboard

Good motherboard. Enough control, easy bios... Still not support for G.SKILL Trident Z RGB 3200 OC

Memory

Just ram. G SKILL software for RGB control does not detect the ram. Let's see with next bios updates.

Storage

Ultra fast booting. Ultra simple. Incredible.

Video Card

After 5 months using it I can say this is the best videocard quality/price ratio in the market. Playerunknowns High-Ultra 55-60 FPS @1080p.

Case

Beautifull, enough connectors but... -READ THIS BEFORE BUYING WATER COOLER, it's a mission to fit 280mm radiators. Specially with one rivet I had to take out.

Power Supply

Top product. Good job. Plenty of cables in the box.

Case Fan

Incredibly low noise and moves a lot of air. Replaced Corsair H110i Stock fans.

Case Fan

Good airflow and low noise beyond 1500 rpm. Noisy at high rpm but low frequency noise, wich is not anoying!

Keyboard

5 star for the keyboard, 1 for mice. Had to thorw mice because of very imprecise and noisy scrolling.

Mouse

Good feeling, precise, quantity of buttons.

Like the build. You could use a new monitor, maybe something with a higher than 1080 resolution for some added desktop real estate.

Nice build! What the max packet power consumption did you see with your 8700? Mine is very high. I am suspecting mine is defective.

Would you mind to run Intel tool to stress the CPU shortly to see what max package TDP you get? Mine is 117W.
