Description

Wanted my first computer build to be efficient and cool, needed to be able to run nice new games (like the Witcher 3) and run some of my work software that i chose to do at home (such as IronCAD). The only problem that I really encounter is having one 8GB memory stick, will eventually buy a second when I get to it. I use the Vizio as my main display while using a monitor I scored for $20 on eBay as a second monitor. All and all it is a great build and would recommend it to practically anyone. Feedback on what parts i should upgrade and why would be greatly appreciated.

What are the noise levels like for something like that? No solid enclosure for the HDDs and such an open bay for the board and all... it's got to be rather noisy. Can you get some more pictures of the full case as well? Like the name says, I can see it for a test bench if you're throwing things in and out but as a "set it and forget it" kind of thing that most builds are, it's just a very different choice to go.

I definitely will put up more pictures tonight, as for the noise level, I may be desensitized by the the noise-level of my old laptop that I was using before building this

That is the nicest testbench I've ever seen +1

Is that case good? Do you like it?

I LOVE IT! It does have pros and cons to it though. A few cons is that cable extensions are a must have, and the case is very large. Other than finding a spot to put it, I think it is a great case. (Material is mostly a durable plastic, some pieces are metal, not many of them though).

Alright, first the awesome things about this build.

One, the motherboard. Maybe I'm a bit bias about this due to me being in love with this board and used it in my first ever build.

Two, the case. It's amazing. Nuff said.

And three, the GPU. Blah blah, GTX 980 rave Blah blah

Now my one and only critique. Once again, this is a bias. I really dislike intel processors. Whn I can buy a 4 ghz 8 core amd cpu, for the same price as a 3.3 ghz quad core, I kinda get pissed. I see intel as having a monopoly on the market.

But other than my stupid personal bias, AMAZING build. :)

just FYI, Intel CPUs can do more in one clock cycle than an AMD CPU. That's why Intel processors cost more, not because they're overpriced. That said, AMD CPUs are great! AMD has made up for their lack of instructions per cycle by making their CPUs stupid fast. Short version, both companies make great processors.

Yeah, I knew that... I just wish when I got my Intel Pentium at age 10 that it had functioned like that out of the box :p

Any feedback is good feedback, thank you man. I spread the love, i have a an AMD laptop but i don't have a bias towards one specific one, it was part of a combo deal so couldn't complain haha

Do you enjoy the preformance of the that gpu? I literally order it 3 days ago. The exact model. Is it quiet and is the fps good in games like CSGO or League if you play them?

That GPU will destroy games like CSGO or League

What he said, I like it a lot, of course I went from a on board graphics card to that. Great performance though

Perfect because I am going from a 170 dollar apu so I am sure this will be a crazy upgrade because I am pairing it with a 4690k xD Crazy changes made!

I must say good build I love Intel definitely need more ram I have almost the same exact setup but I have a i5 4590k with 16gbs of ram except a GeForce gtx 970 and it runs any game no problem the only thing that is bad about This for me is that I move my pc a lot because of going to friends and I'm always staying in hotels so that case would not work for me but it seems like a really good case

You should maybe add an SSD as this will increase your startup speed
