Description

I finally got around to building a Caselabs STH10 exactly how I wanted it. Drilling the holes in the upper and lower mid-plates were borderline terrifying. In the end, no leaks. Currently sitting at number 67 on Fire Strike Extreme Hall of Fame 3xGPUs. http://www.3dmark.com/fs/9286967

What a beauty and work of art you have here. I like the color scheme. And more importantly, how clean the tubes and wires are. The cherry on top is your part selection, so fantastic! You have done an amazing job with this piece of art. You have my big one and support.

Why so much hate? This is a great build...It looks beautiful,

Don't listen to those who are hating on your build especially the ones bitching about because if your like me I doubt your ever going to even use above 700GB out of the 1.5TB. Also just as a recommendation you should get some Dominator Platinum's from Corsair and water cool your ram too unless EK or something makes water blocks for Avixer Ram...

Good to see not everyone jumped ship for the 1080 and are still making magnificent builds such as this with the 980 Ti. +1

So incredibly clean. First couple times I looked at it didn't much resemble a computer for me. Thought I was looking at the other side of the case when I finally realized there was a motherboard / CPU / RAM / GPUs present, haha.

I guess after my current build-in-progress, the only way up is a custom water cooled rig that's even a fraction as clean and aesthetically pleasing. :D

Well done, sir. +1

It's a really well made build, I'll give you that. But something that no one has noted on is the lack of case fans to cool off your motherboard. Obviously you don't need to cool your CPU/GPU any further, but your mobo does need at least some air passing over it. I recommend you put some amount of fans in the front and one in the back.

You don't have to need everything you buy.

[comment deleted by staff]

If you are asking why he has 3-way SLI with only two 1440p monitors, you clearly have zero experience playing demanding games on 1440p monitors, especially 144hz monitors.

  • -1 points

Also, 2 way SLI on GTX 980 Ti's will basically produce somewhat near (don't quote me on that) the same performance as 3 since over 2 is wasting money and performance.

  • 1 point

This guy is HOF'ing Fire Strike Extreme and you are here trying to lecture him about his choices. Where is your build?

  • 1 point

Does it matter if I have a build or not?

  • 1 point

I was going to give you the benefit of the doubt and not judge your knowledge off of the negative comment you left on this post, but if there is no other evidence, then it's safe for me to form a conclusion.

It's ok to critique, but you had no positive criticism and you clearly don't understand that some people just want to build something to their own standards, not your own. Good night young sir!

  • 1 point

Regarding your comment, you are talking about efficiency and cost. Some people are not worried about that, lol.

  • 1 point

If you read anything, I went from 70fps to 100fps in the witcher 3. You dont know what youre talking about. Just leave. You already made yourself look like an idiot

  • 1 point

If you increased 30+ because of an extra GPU in 3 way SLI then that game must really utilize your GPU.

So I assume you know Nvidia stopped supporting 3 and 4 way SLI with the 10xx series? probably not so Ill just point you to fire strike and the other benchmarks where there is zero 1080 setups in the hall of fame :) Lol 3 980 tis run the witcher 3 on one monitor at 100fps. Im just going to assume you know nothing so enjoy your **** post and **** comments. BTW I have a PC with 2 1080s :0

  • 1 point

Well, you can still do 3-4 way SLI on NVIDIA's 1000 series GPUs but NVIDIA doesn't recommend it because it doesn't do much more performance gains. Also, NVIDIA's HBB's don't support over 2 way SLI so 2 GTX 1080's is probably equal to 3-4 GTX 1080s.

By the cancer I meant the way HE set it up, is monitors look angled at all, making it bad for his gaming setup since his monitors would look weird to look at different angles.

  • 1 point

Look, if you don't like the way someone's monitors are angled, let it go. And please avoid calling something "cancer." You have a personal preference that is different, and that's ok. They may prefer it the way they have it, and that's ok too.
