Description

PURPOSE OF THIS BUILD I built this PC for my wife, who is a Graphic Designer. I wanted a powerful machine that she could use along with her Wacom drawing tablet. I wanted her to have something that she could grow into career wise and that can handle anything she throws at it.

TOOLS SHE CURRENT USES She mainly uses Adobe's Creative Cloud Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign etc..). And, she will soon be assisting me with my 4k video editing projects.

THE CASE My wife choose this. She wanted something small and compact. I initially disagreed, saying that the NZXT S340 case was too small, but, after building in the S340 I actually like it. a lot. I've had to go in it a few times after the initially build (to add the RGB lights and additional GPU) and its pretty easy to work in and organize for such a small case. Wife knows best.

MEMORY & GPU To be honest 16-32GB's of RAM and 1 good GPU would have suffice'd for this build when it comes to my wife's current tasks which is mostly Typography.
So the Dual graphic cards and 64GB's or Ram was purely for her interest in 3D Modeling and Video editing down the line.

Update (10/2/2018) on GPU - Switched my wife's gtx 1080 to the EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC GAMING ACX 3.0 Black Edition so I could run SLI. When I first did the build I was unaware that the GPU's needed to be the same to run SLI (still learning). Will update the pics next time I open up the PC again.

Nice Build!

Guy came here to show his build and everyone just keeps saying he listed the wrong GPUs... Who cares?

Thank you very much. Yeah, I just try to take those type of comments with a grain of salt. Either way I was happy that people took a look as it was my first PC build from scratch.

Hey roller, thx for the message. I just checked and the ones listed seems to be the ones I installed in my wifes build. I even checked my old Amazon orders. Why do you say I listed the wrong ones? They seem to be working perfectly in my wifes system.

You guys are absolute right! I was here scratching my head because I still have the box for the EVGA Cooler. Then I went to check it out and sure enough it's still in the box because it was too big for the case (but I never returned it)! So the cooler I have is the Visual AIO Captain 120EX (I will update). My 2 graphics cards I got from Ebay (there's no Ebay option here for some reason). Here are the names copied and pasted from my eBay purchase history. (1)ASUS GeForce DUAL-GTX1070-08G 8GB OC Edition Video Card (which is the white card at the top in my wife's case). (2)Asus TURBO-GTX1080-8G GeForce GTX 1080 1.61 GHz 8GB GDDR5X PCIe 3.0 Graphic Card (The card on the bottom). I'm guessing I picked the wrong option in the parts list so I will update those as well. Thanks guys!
