Description

I'm upgrading from a dell 7567 1050ti gaming laptop.

This is my first PC build ever. After spending numerous hours researching each part, it all came together. For the last 3 months, I have been scouring the internet for deals on parts, but in the final stretch I ended up impulse buying a few important items (graphics card).

I wanted to build a PC that is super upgrade able, wanted to last me an extra upgrade cycle. So I spent a bit more money buying an expensive motherboard and PSU. I wanted it to be a performance oriented build so I went for a good airflow with the Meshify C and the Noctua's.

Overall very happy with the build, I have been tweaking around with overclocking. 2600x comfortably over clocks to 4.2 and graphics card over clocks to 2070 mghz / 1900 mem. The ram is overclocked to 3200 cl 15 (the stock profile is unstable). I'm having some issues I cannot set it to the precision boost overdrive, I can only manually overclock it. I do not know too much on this subject so if anyone has any ideas please enlighten me. Basically if I don't overclock the CPU its sits at 3800 mhz, even if I turn on the precision boost in bios.

It does really well on all the games I play. I can run the fans pretty quiet and still get excellent performance and good temps (non-overclocked). If I overclock everything (including the monitor to 155hz) and I usually run the fans (50%) to make sure everything is stable. With 100% fan speed, the machine sounds like a small jet engine, but CPU temps don't exceed past 55, and gpu temps hit around 65 at max load. Very happy with the purchase. I will upgrading to a newer Ryzen processor when the time comes, but the current system is excellent for gaming 1440p 144hz.
