Description

Hey fellow enthusiasts! That's my 1st custom build, and I've spent a ton of money and time before I finished that. The build was done in early 2018 and up till this time gave me no problems.

Started with a different case (NZXT S340), different CPU and MOBO (7700K + Asus ROG Hero, then Asus ROG Formula) all the way up to this current setup. So don't be confused the brand logos may vary - the overall layout and tube routing remained almost the same throughout the build.

Watercooling parts used in this build:

  • EKWB D5 Pump (stand-alone)

  • EKWB X3 100 Reservoir, RGB

  • EKWB CE 280 Rad in front

  • EKWB PE 360 Rad on top

  • EKWB Supremacy EVO CPU block

  • EKWB FC GeForce GTX FE Nickel GPU block

  • EKWB FC1080 GTX Ti Backplate

  • Numerous EKWB HC compression fittings (12mm OD), extenders, rotary fittings, etc.

  • Mayhems Pastel White fluid

And while it can seem like I'm EK fanboy, that's wrong :D It's just much easier and cheaper to order from Slovenia in the country I live in.

Hope you find it not that bad. Cheers!

The white Vardars are nice. I really wish they made a RGB version of them :(

not so nice tbh :) I ordered 3 and 1 came faulty - the PWM was not working, was spinning on full 2200 RPM at all times.

Ek sent me a replacement for free, I gotta say their support is super helpful and friendly.

But then, two of them 3 fans turned into screech generators in over a year - sometimes they are whisper-quiet, next minute they produce an AWFUL noise which doesn't even depend on their RPM. The noise they produce varies from a quiet flat-tire-like to a revving buzzsaw.

I gave up and bought myself 3-pack of Corsair's ML120, will install them somewhere in the future :)

Hi nice bends! and love how clean it is. Did you have a think about cooling your VRMs?

Hi, thanks! No, not really. I constantly wanted to improve something or re-route the tubes, but now I'm (hopefully) settled with the idea that I'd do another build in O11 Dynamic-like case when the next generation of GPUs comes out, rather than spending more on this build :)

hey, sorry for late response. I didn't know about possible issues so I've ordered the first one I've seen at AliExpress :) Just looked at the 98% positive feedback on the seller.
