Description

This is my second build (1st build $350 Kaveri A10-APU), but this time I’m building for myself. I plan on using this for Starcraft 2, interneting, cockatrice, apming, etc. This processor was very easy to overclock. After 30min of Prime95, I’m at a stable 4.4GHz - 1.3V. I will eventually purchase a 212 EVO and see how far I can push it. I tried to manage the cables, but with 4 SATA devices it was sort of tricky. Let me know what you think - I’d appreciate any advice or constructive criticism. I’M ADDICTED TO PCP.... picker

CPU/Motherboard: MicroCenter bundle which I thought was going to be $99 + tax (still a great deal), but ended up only being $95 and included a $10 MIR on the MB - $85 for both.

RAM: CAS 8, DDR3 1866 - Snagged this for a decent price. It’s the highest rated ram on pc part picker for a reason.

SSD: Lowest price per GB SSD I could find. Price is after $30 MIR

HDD: Had these 2 WD 1TB drives from my previous build which will hold my media.

GPU: This card is no joke at $55. Sure the 750 ti is just flat out better, but it’s also more than twice the cost. Price after $30 MIR

Case: Buy this case - Don’t even think about it just buy it.

PSU: 80+ bronze, name brand and budget friendly. Price after $20 MIR

Mouse: I like this mouse, it feels good in my hand and looks neat.

Nice budget build, I love that cpu. The case is the best one in its price point in my opinion.

It's not bad, the benchmarks w/ sc2 are great for the $$$

First, do you have any performance issues from time to times with the Pentium g3258? Second questions: for the micro center deal thingy, do you simply just pick up those two parts and then they charge you $99 or do you need to do something else?

I don't have any issues w/ the 3258. The microcenter deal was only for a limited time, but it'll be back - you just add both parts to your cart but it's in store only
