Description

I've tinkered with computers all my life, but in 2013 I did my first build from scratch. That had obviously aged, though still held up well. But I wanted the bleeding edge (within reason). Still planning on pushing 2560x1440 with my preexisting ROG Swift so I went with a 2080 rather than the ti, neither of which I could really afford anyway!

It took a long time to put together as I had to raise funds, unlike last time when I was working in the oil patch. So it took about 6 months or more for me to buy all the parts, which was painful. But now that its all done, it feels amazing. I got into Apex on gfs xbox while I was waiting to finish this, and I've gone into instant beast mode now that I'm back with the sweet sweet m&kb.

I went all ASUS last time, but wasn't overly impressed with some of the build quality. I like that EVGA only does Intel & Nvidia, and I heard so much good about them and their warranty so thats who I went with this time.

This looks like a great build, hard work pays off.

Was wondering how the GPU holds up with 1440p gaming, and if you are using maxed settings or what not, thanks in advance...

Its beautiful. I mainly play apex and thats obviously butter, the new CoD, it ran consistently over 100fps as well so I'm happy. Enabling ray tracing in BFV brought it down around ~60 though
