This was built for my friend as for he still ran a Pentium 4 Single Core
I could not stand there and bear the pain...
We sold the old computer for $50 I pitched in $150 and he paid $50 for this beast machine.
He will not be Gaming!Lemme get that straight.Only Photoshop and Video works.
As for the parts list lemme go through a small briefing of why and where we got these parts
Intel Xeon X5450
What can I say a 8 Threaded LGA775 processor for only $30 bucks? Now that is a killer. Also it's Xeon so like the branding just says it all.
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Initially branded as a gaming motherboard (or I think it was) this thing has a lot of features the person won't even use.The main thing we were looking for is Xeon CPU support and with a driver update this board handled it all.No complaints here
The 8GB DDR2 Ram of Randomness
Good to go in this section
Corsair Forse LS 60GB+Seagate Barracuda
This is where the problems began. The SSD was corrupted badly so I had a hard time trying to format it from my computer.Took me a day or two (I forgot) to get it working properly. We first got a brand new Seagate from Micro Center and it was DOA.So we sent it in for RMA and got one that would make weird clicking noises and sure enough 2 days of trying to get it to stop making noises it broke.Sent it in for DOA yet again and they just refunded my money instead this time.I hop onto Craigslist and bam...We got a Barracuda for only $10 bucks that survived a week of stress testing.Yeah that's right.
GPU Playz stuff and Goz' Fast
I gave it in for 5 bucks.Had it for 1.5 years in my basement doing nothing so like whatever
We got it for $50 which in retail it is a $120.This was a killer deal.It was also sealed when it arrived from E-Bay
So that's today's build I have built a lot of computers in the past but I don't think they are worthy of posting...
