I would recommend a 2080ti before SLI 2080

You’ll get better performance

yep

SLI has some issues and dying support

A single 2080ti will provide more stable performance and you can always add another one

Hey man I feel like I have to say something after looking at this build. This build is sexy af... The case is very nice, cables are unseen, and the RBG can be used to make some nice effects. My favorite part that set me over the edge was the way you mounted the GPU. Nice job on the build and congrats. If i could give you more than +1 I would! Enjoy your adventures with her :D

  • 1 point

Haha, thank you for your support mate :))

  • 2 points

Ok. I wish I had enough money for something this sick. A custom RGB backplate from either cablemod or v1tech would really really bring the build home without needing to vertical mount the card.

  • 2 points

To be honest this is a great build, would have like a little bit more rgb, maybe by adding rgb cables and maybe a rgb case, and maybe a rgb chair, and maybe your monitor is just an 16x16 board of rgb lights

  • 2 points

Since you're super rich (guessing), get a 2080 Ti, maybe even 2 for SLI instead of to 2080's. Get 2 2080 Ti's (gaming X trio I guess) and sell the RTX 2080 you have right now to put to the 2 2080 Ti's.

Very cool. Can you describe direction of airflow for each set of fans?

  • 1 point

bottom intake, top and side exhaust i test thermals now, but side intake seems more effiency and less aesthetic

  • 1 point

Hey i just purchased LLs as well and was planning to build in the same case. Is this the problem that all people with side fan mounts will face? have to stupidly sacrifice between aesthetics AND airflow direction. Damn you corsair!? How much of a diff in temps is there when doing side exhaust instead of intake as it should be?

  • 1 point

temperature not makes a big deal max difference 5 celcius on cpu, gpus in mvlink one is cold one is so hot. in these winters days side fans exhaust for aesthetics my decision. later goes intake again

  • 1 point

What were your temps for the CPU and GPU like under load when you had just the one vertical GPU?

  • 1 point

With vertical mount gpu never pass 67 with auto fan speed +120 gpu +700mem. My cpu not best in needs 1,35v to get stable, reason much heat in game lower fan speed 55-60, while stability tests with avx goes 85+

  • 1 point

Hi, Can you help me by answering the questions?
Do you hear the cpu coin whine when you have your ear close to the back or the front of the cpu when it run?
When you plug in your speaker or headphone, do you hear that coin whine on your speaker?
What is your graphic card? I am having that problem. The coin whine is not loud and unnoticeable if you are not in a quite room, but when you plug in the speaker, it is so loud.
I use Asus z390 E gaming mother board. I am looking for the solution for my issue. I hope it is because of the board that cause the cpu to sound like that so it is cheaper and I have more options to replace it. Any helps from other builder of asus and intel chip are appreciated! I got the same noise like these video below:
https://youtu.be/aXA6r5abybM

https://youtu.be/_nb5EBYgTes

  • 1 point

sometime i hear a bit little coil whine but i can't still make decision where is the sound came from, mobo vrm, gpu or cpu but another part psu?

  • 1 point

Looks great! I'm about to do a similar build with the 2080 Ti X Trio in the O11-D. I have some rather stiff modmesh cablemod cables for the GPU and I'm worried about clearance due to the cables pushing up against the glass or not being able to even attach the glass side panel. How much room is there between the power inputs on the GPU and the glass?

  • 1 point

strimer cables pushes window outside because they attached above normal sleveed cables. the sleeved cables doesnt matter.

  • 1 point

Is that the only storage you have? Its too low!

  • 1 point

there are few ext. hdd i have but they didn't listed :) 1tb is enough for me as internal storage.

  • 1 point

I'll die from a seizure looking at it.

  • 1 point

Im about to build in this case with the same fans, and would like to know how you did the cables for each fan with the lightning node, thanks :)

  • 2 points

use two hubs, and they connect through commander pro's led channels. same with node controller.

  • 1 point

But the Commander Pro only has two LED channels, so both hubs go there with 12 fans coming off total of both those hubs.

Lightning Node Pro hooks up to USB header on motherboard, with its two LED channels going to either fan hubs (if needed, but 12 fans covered under Commander Pro) or LED strips?

It looks like you kept the Commander Pro outside the case on top of it. Is that right?

You were talking about push-pull fan setup for the radiator. Did you do it? Where did you plug in the three additional fans?

Edit: this link doesnt entirely answer my question about pushpull fans on radiator, but really useful in picturing Commander Pro, Lighting Node, and Hub, coordination: http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=173880

  • 1 point

I think you're describing what is shown here under "Taking things further": http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=182609

  • 1 point

radiator not in p/p config, led extension on the mobo jcorsair port. 2 channels of commander pro hold 9xll for lighting control of fans. 6 intake fans directly connects commander pro's pwm ports for control. exhaust fans controled by h150i built in controller.

  • 1 point

Hey, how did u get the lighting synced for your mobo and gpu? I have the same ones and don’t know where I can mess with their rgb. Everything I have tried says, “platform does not support”.

In my build it says I have incompatibilities with my m.2 ssd taking up my a few of my sata ports. It also says I need another eps power connector. You have any problems like this because I have a very similar build to you.

  • 1 point

i cant use any sata ports but nvme ssds removes few sata ports for limitations also noticed on user manual, i you need more power for higher clocks second eps will help you.

  • 1 point

From user manual: "Moving into the PCIe area we find all three M.2 slots. The upper two slots will accommodate SATA or PCIe based drives with the topmost slot able to accept the longer 110 mm drives. When using SATA based drives here it does disable some of the SATA ports to the right so be sure to consult the manual for details. The lowest M.2 slot with the M.2 Shield FROZR heat sink will only accept PCIe based drives with a maximum length of 80 mm." AND " the SATA 6 Gb/s ports numbered 1-6 from right to left with the odd number referring to the lower port. When using the M.2 slots some of these ports become unavailable. When using the top M.2 slot with a SATA drive (but not PCIe), SATA_2 is unavailable. Using the middle M.2 slot with a SATA drive (but not PCIe) renders the SATA_5 unavailable and if using a PCIe based drive here you will lose SATA_5 and SATA_6." So if you have your top two M.2 slots occupied with SATA SSDs, then you lose SATA ports 2, 5, and 6 (but still have 1, 3, and 4). And whatever you put in the third M.2, the one with the FROZR heat sink, it won't affect SATA ports, but you can only put a PCIe SSD there, not a SATA.

Is that right?

  • 1 point

i can use only m.2 nvme drive if you read it from user manuel its correct.

Thanks for the guidance. Trying to emulate the build. I got the G.Skill memory (but probably should have gotten Corsair for rgb control).

So are you using:

-MysticPro for motherboard and rgb lighting off the JCORSAIR 3pin header (that leads to Commander/Nodes)

-iCUE for the Corsair CPU cooler

-Corsair Link for the Commander Pro??

-Trident Z RGB Control installed (but not opened) as per http://www.gskill.us/forum/forum/product-discussion/ddr4/trident-z-rgb/13609-trident-z-rgb-third-party-software-support ?

In addition,

-Corsair LINK for thermal control with fans?

  • 1 point

Okay got some advice from Corsair to get all the fans (and pump) controlled by iCUE: http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?p=1004019#post1004019

But from this, one CAN hook up fans directly to the msi motherboard, which would allow for some fan LED control via MSI Mystic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWnuvJ8tPU8

But it looks like the Corsair pump LED can only be controlled via Mystic Light, as well as the Trident memory and of course the motherboard lights themselves.

As diagrammed above, iCUE to orchestrate fan lights.

Is that how you have it: Mystic light: -Motherboard lights -Corsair PUMP LED -Trident memory

iCUE : -Case fan LEDs -Case fanspeed control via temperature probes

I can see you using EITHER iCUE or Mystic Light for: -Radiator fan LEDs -Light strips

Just curious which software solution you used for what components.

Thanks for all the time to answering questions. It helps a lot.

I just finished my build based HEAVILY on yours. First system I build in a LOOOONG time, and first one I built myself.

Thanks again!

Looks and runs GREAT.

Differences: -Samsung 970Evo 1tb M.2-2280 as primary storage. -Intel 660p 2tb M.2 as secondary storage. -Seagate IronWolf 10tb 7200rpm HDD for archiving internally mounted. -Going with LG 34GK950G-B as monitor. -Haven't purchased new keyboard/mouse (yet)....

-Went with push/pull on H150i radiator (so 12 RGB fans!) -Used a different company's vertical mount bc CoolerMaster graphics card mount wasn't worth it. -Setup: 3 Pull fans powered by Corsair 150, the rest via CommanderPro (had to get 3 fan power splitters to accommodate all 9 remaining fans). -RGB Fan LEDs controlled by two Corsair hubs that come off the CommanderPro. -LED strips are in two banks of two strips each, hooked up to LightingNodePro that is hooked up to CommanderPro. -24pin and 8pin(x2) Strimers are hooked up to J-RAINBOW header. So iCUE controls all the fan RGBs and two banks of 2 LED strips. Mystic Light controls mb and strimer and G-Skills.

Looks fantastic. I saw you didn't like the case. Why?
