How are the temps on the CPU? I have a friend who wants me to build him a system with the 9820X.

Hey, I'm sorry for the late reply. Temperatures were with this air cooling and at an overclocking to about 4MHz at about 79 degrees u. Room temperature 23-24 degrees ....

For me, that was too bad, despite good thermal paste u. accurate assembly.

I bought a Corsair - Hi115 Watercooling after that.

Now the system runs smooth with a temperature at 77 degrees max at 4.800Mhz!!!

No throttling, no issues - at CPUz you can see my stats.

Check Survivalsteve!

Cheers,

Mark

No worries. Gona buy a beefy air cooler from noctua though. Since he has no clue about PCs and wants to keep the PC for a long time I think air cooling will be good. Just need one of those huge air coolers. Gona keep it on stock speeds though.

I saw the build on the profile. Why didn't you just use an AIO?

Because Aios have more potential parts of failures.. A good air cooler does the job
